Loneliness

I chose to critique this particular piece because it amazes me every time I see it in my favorites folder.

I’d like to start out with the composition on the picture, which I think is by far the most interesting part of this piece.
It truly baffles me as to how you got this shot. The leaves in the foreground really frame the picture, allowing your attention to rest on Kakashi’s expression, which has been artfully put into focus. He looks EXACTLY like the character in the manga, so much so that if a movie where to be made in this image, I wouldn’t mind.
The rocks and the rest of the environment suit the character well, and is a great representation of Kishimoto’s Ninja world.
The piece is very original, and although I gave it 4 stars instead of 5, it’s only because originality can only go so far when a character is drawn from a Manga. Nevertheless, the positioning, the point of view and the positioning of the character is something that I have rarely seen in any other cosplay.
The colors and lighting of this piece are another beautiful touch. The sunlight gleaming through the leaves and in Kakashi’s hair is a wonderful detail that I’m glad was caught in the picture.
